My career as an sailing writer spans three decades. In that time I have developed an extensive network within the international sailing community and can pick up the phone to most of our sport’s key protagonists to get the inside track on whatever is going on.
I have written for all the major sailing publications at one time or other, but I created YRL a few years ago as a means of connecting directly with the sail racing audience.
YRL is not a sailing news feed – there are plenty of other websites serving that need – but what you will find here are original stories and interviews, plus commentary and opinion pieces on what I believe are the most interesting things going on in our sport right now.

My public posts, plus a few advertorial stories from commercial partners each month, can be read by anyone – but I keep the good stuff back for my free and paid subscribers.
