I watched the action at last weekend’s second 38th America’s Cup Preliminary Regatta at close quarters and experienced the incredible atmosphere in Naples first hand.
I was there and agree, it’s going to be a fantastic venue. It was packed wall to wall with Luna Rossa supporters, with nary a centimeter of space between people the entire length of the shoreline. Can you imagine when supporters and teams from all participants are there?? It’s going to be glorious. If the Prizegiving ceremony was any indication, the Italians sure know how to throw a party.
Great piece, thank you. One comment : I don't think the end of May 27 regatta is a preliminary, is it ? It count towards overall results, albeit in fleet racing format, on AC75s
