My guest on the latest edition of the Yacht Racing Life Podcast is Sébastien Sainson – design director of the French Gitana Team, which recently launched its latest generation Maxi Edmond de Rothschild Ultim trimaran – Gitana 18.
After enjoying a guided tour of the truly spectacular boat on the dock outside the Gitana team base in Lorient, Justin sat down with Sébastien to find out more about the innovation that has gone into this remarkable ocean-going multihull.
They might have been involved in major grand prix offshore racers before, but getting Gitana 18 up onto her foils for the first time was a very big deal for the team.
